New Kicks

I don’t know what it is, but there is a feeling I get when I roll around in new kicks.  Its like you can have the dopest watch, banging ass jeans, the full kit, but some whack ass shoes, it throws everything off.  I honestly could dress like a bum, but rock a pair of new kicks and feel fresh to death.  I don’t consider myself a collector cause I wear all my shoes.  But I can appreciate why people collect.  There are still shoes that I wish I still had: Black Samoas, Denim Adispeeds, 3M Silver and Red Dunks.  But the shoe that I have never lost any love for has been this:

Burgertime

I don’t usually write about food.  But I went to eat with Naoto the other day and thought to myself living in Southern California, we are so privileged when it comes to food.  You can basically eat anything you want within a reasonable distance.  Living in Japan, other than Japanese, Chinese, Italian and MacDonald’s, there isn’t much of a choice.  Especially when you live in the Bakersfield of Japan.  MacDonald’s and Moss Burger is good and all.  But it doesn’t even come close to In and Out.  Good anytime of the day, open late and customizable to how you like.  I would easily put it in my top 3 burger joints.  I’ll just let the picture speak for me.

Wedlock

I cut my trip to Japan short to come back for my cousin’s wedding. For some reason, I always figured he would get married early. Good thing he found a rad girl to be his wife. But, my timing was a little bad in that I still suffered from severe jet lag. I usually am good about adjusting. Being that I have been away from Japan for so long, this time was really bad. I went to Agenda to see some friends, came back to watch Bao’s fight(congratulations by the way buddy), and went home early with the intention of going to sleep early for the wedding. I ended up laying in bed staring at the ceiling. My mom sent me home to get some rest and I didn’t wake up until right before the reception.

Being that we all grew up together, all the homies came out for the reception. Even saw some people that I didn’t think my cousin knew there. Being that everyone there were heavy drinkers, there was a bit of a shortage in alcohol. I did my best to supply those fish, but to no avail. We finally resorted to questionable tactics and they closed the bar on us. Probably for the better, being that everyone was hammered.

In the end it was a rad day for Minh and Jennie. If I ever do get married(yeah right), I will have a special stash of booze for the homies. Thanks for the good times guys!

Jimmy and the Groom

Good to see the homies dressed looking fresh to death.

Alcohol brings out violence in people.

Had my drunk brother take this picture. I knew it was a bad idea especially when he had the camera upside down.
